From the Desk of Bishop Gerald Doggett...
Just because you face a prolonged season of adversity doesn’t mean you have sinned, or you are unworthy to minister the Word. Your battle could be preparation for your next dimension, not a punishment for past decisions. When perceptions are skewed, reality is distorted. If your perception of the adversity is wrong, thoughts about this present circumstance are incorrect as well.

Shift your thinking from punishment, to pursuit of purpose. When the pursuit of purpose is the main effort, the adversity ceases to be perceived as punishment, and becomes preparation for the next assignment God has planned.

Release your mind from the confinement of being punished. Embrace your purpose, which remains in your spirit, even though it remains under the clutter of misconceptions. Be encouraged as new energy emerges from within; and the path ahead, once again, becomes clear.

Adversity causes information to be revealed that was unknown before. Armed with new information you will be much more effective in future assignments. God’s preparation is thorough, and sometimes lengthy. Shake the residue of hard times off, and move with fresh enthusiasm toward God’s intended purpose. It’s preparation, not punishment!

Be aggressive with your faith!  Advance! Your vision will come in installments, not all at once. Your vision is from God, it is “Divine Seed.” I know there is struggle; and sometimes pain. What God has put in your spirit is truth. Get excited and let your expectation rise to new heights.

Your tenacity wears down your enemy. Refuse to speak words that would encourage your enemy, he can’t read your mind! Draw from the reservoir of inner strength God has placed within you. It is abundant and it flows without restraint. Your enemy has missed his best opportunity to take you out! It’s time to advance with your faith.

Even though a positive outcome lingers, always remember that nothing can keep it from bursting forth. Your desire is “DIVINE SEED” and the quality of that seed will never let you down. It can produce when the weather is good as well as when the climate is adverse. Be encouraged in this journey. Your faith pleases God.

Above all else remember this:  ADVERSITY CANNOT STOP YOUR HARVEST!
