Has excitement about the future diminished? Have pressures and routine taken a toll on life, which caused high expectation to leak out of your emotional reservoir? It’s not just a matter of what is expected in the future; it also includes those things for which you are willing to settle now. Refuse to lower expectations. Hold on to the complete word God spoke. Keep the bar of expectation high; say no to make it lower.
Expectation gives the ability to have an idea that becomes so real that you can see it and feel it before you can hold it. Make a passionate determination to achieve that, which is sought. Be encouraged as high expectation is restored amid the rubble of personal struggles. With God as your partner, pause a moment and, envision the RESTORING OF HIGH EXPECTATION!
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4. “Delight” means to “be soft, or pliable.” When you are soft and pliable in the hands of God, He will manifest those desires placed in your heart. Get in a rhythmic flow with God and celebrate the RESTORING OF HIGH EXPECTATION!
Relationships are being tested. Marriages have come under stress and tempers have manifested. Children are more restless than usual. Things just seem unsettled. Perhaps you have come to a place of decision and no answer can be found. God’s promise is a distant memory. The journey just seems too long to continue.
God has a promise. Matthew 11:28 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Stop the roller coaster ride in your mind. God is still in control of your future. He knew your family, including the children, would need provision right now.
Allow your expectation to elevate. It’s there, waiting to be called forth. Expectation is the key that unlocks tomorrow, and gives the family unit access to a future so bright it will drive away the darkness of today. Surround your relationships with prayer and the Word of God. Children need security and stability. Allow your family to be protected with a spiritual covering from God. Refuse to surrender to despair; wrap each family member with faith and prayer.
