If you have children, you can't be immune to the world of video games. One popular game my children play is called "Kingdom Hearts." This game is comprised of a series of heated battles, all for the heart of the hero. Throughout its many courses, the hero player solves puzzles, fends off the arrows of angry enemies and finds hidden keys that make his heart stronger. The ultimate prize for the winner--the key to the kingdom!
Beloved ones, you and I are so much more fortunate than the hero player of that game! Although the battle rages around us, the die has been cast, the end is determined and we have been given the key to the Kingdom through Jesus! Unlike the fictional hero of the video game, our battle isn't to possess the key, but to keep it. You can do it!
There are no puzzles, no arrows and nothing hidden from the ones whom God loves. That's you and I! Together we make an unstoppable Kingdom of Hearts! Our brother and apostle Paul said it best, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV) Let that also be our testimony. Fight on brave heroes!
