Learn to say, “I’m sorry, but I’m not able to do what you’re asking.” Remain focused on areas most important to you, and your family. The price of supplementing “good works” for time alone with God is detrimental to so many areas of life. Nothing takes the place of quiet time alone with God.
These special moments build intangibles in us that produce qualities necessary for success in this journey of life. Perhaps it’s time to prioritize again our “to do” list. Refuse to give God time that is left over after everything else has been completed. Put Him first, and give your best time to God. It’s a decision you will never regret.
