Beginning to recite the 23rd Psalm, a little girl stood proudly, straightened her frilly dress, and loudly proclaimed, “The Lord is my shepherd, "THAT’S ALL I WANT!” Although her words were not exactly as the King James text provides, they echoed my thoughts precisely.
His provision is impeccable, His love is never ending, and His mercy endures forever. He gives inner peace to calm emotional storms often encountered on life’s journey, and supplies strength that’s more than enough to meet every challenge we face. His marvelous attributes are without end!
Now, take a moment and make your list of what you know about our Lord. List the qualities that have manifested because of your relationship with Him. I’m sure you have known Him in special ways. Each of life’s challenges reveals another dimension of His Grace.
Today is the perfect day to recount His blessings in your life. Look beyond any storm you face, and focus on the goodness of God you have experienced. Count your blessings and see if you can name them one by one, then you will say along with the little girl, “The Lord is my shepherd, THAT’S ALL I WANT!”
