Restoration isn't just a replacement of what's lost -- it's the presentation of something better! If a house is destroyed by a storm, the home owner does more than replace the broken doors and repair the leaky pipes. He installs new, better pipes, stylish doors and the best of everything. He turns the tragedy into an opportunity. He corrects a poor layout and previous structure issues during the process. He turns his disaster into a dream home. When he's finished, his restored home is better than it was before the storm, a new and improved home.

According to Hebrews, our lives are like houses before a storm. When the storm comes, we can rely on a new covenant, better promises to rebuild our broken lives into something fantastic. Restoring your life is a top priority to God. No matter what mistakes you've made, or how far off the mark you get, He can and desires to restore your life.

Be patient while God is restoring your life. The process can be lengthy. God will review your structure, draw up revised plans and He will get to work on the areas that need restoration. Take it one step at a time! Let God be in control.

It’s tough when the harmony and serenity of life is disturbed. Too many times we attempt to remedy the issue with medication, which might provide sleep and detachment, but can never provide real peace and rest. The prescription for real peace is found in God’s word.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV).  The Hebrew meaning conveys an undisturbed, perfect peace. That is, the mind that has confidence in God will not be agitated by trials, persecution, poverty, sickness, want, or bereavement.

“Whose mind is stayed on thee”
denotes anything that is formed by the mind, its thoughts, imaginations, or devices.  It could mean the thoughts themselves, or the mind that forms the thoughts.

Regardless how severe the disruption of peace you might be experiencing, refocus your mind on the Lord. Whatever captures your attention always gets larger. Should trouble arrest your attention, trouble will escalate. On the other hand, when God apprehends your concentration, God gets superior.

Refuse to allow your confidence in God to be shaken. Trust Him, believe He will deliver, and then you are blessed with RESTORED PEACE.

Never accept an opinion that suggests life is beyond repair. God can bring back the most damaged life and restore it to wholeness again. Broken pieces, shattered dreams, and no sense of self worth are all too common in today’s world. Refuse to believe there is no hope. With God, there is always hope.

It’s amazing to realize we don’t need to repair ourselves, then come to God and offer the work of our own hands. Run to Him, just as you are, broken and without hope, He will restore! Sometimes the damage is external for everyone to see and other times the destruction is internal where no one can know except the one with the devastation and pain.

Whether the damage is external, internal, or both; God is the one who restores. He can rebuild when others give up in despair. God made you, and He can restore any area of damage. Become a whole person again. Believe that God sees value in you. Release those who caused the pain, let God restore and make life new again. Dreams really do come true!
