Those are the words of a song I’ve been singing since I was a child. One of my first memories of Jesus was that He loves me. In a day when it’s difficult to give and receive unconditional love, the love of Jesus stands alone in quality and duration. The love of Jesus is so comprehensive. Everything regarding your welfare and care is important to Him. You are so important to Him the very hairs of your head are numbered. It’s not just some areas of life that draw His attention; it’s every area that draws His consideration. Regardless of the circumstance in which you find yourself, or how you feel, without doubting you can say, “YES, JESUS LOVES ME.”

Rejection of one person by another is painful. It strikes at the very heart of the rejected one and causes a deep hurt. Loneliness becomes part of the journey and the anticipation of additional rejection develops into an expectation in life. You don’t have to live with that kind of pain. There is no rejection in Jesus. His love is absolute and without condition. His faithful love brings a confidence to say, “YES, JESUS LOVES ME!”
