Break the back of lack!

One of the great enemies to financial abundance is intimidation. Intimidation means, to make timid or fearful, frighten, or discourage, by threats. Fear is the biblical term for intimidation. The threats of the enemy can make you timid and cause discouragement instead of encouraging you to fight back. Has the enemy has told you that you will have financial problems forever? Remember, what you fear you will rarely confront.

Confront fear, defeat your enemy, and walk in a climate of blessing. The law of seedtime and harvest is God’s system to break the back of lack. If you look at circumstances, the force of intimidation will break you.  The Bible says, “He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.” Your seed is more than money; it’s anything you have that you are willing to share with another on this journey of life. Your time, your encouraging words, as well as your talents shared with others are seeds you can sow. Withdraw no longer from life, begin to share yourself with others and watch God BREAK THE BACK OF LACK!

Break down that wall, Credit: www.sxc.hu/backtrust
Have you ever wanted to throw your head back, close your eyes, and scream at the top of your voice? Has every circumstance continued speaking defeat, discouragement, and loss? Never despair; I have great news. God’s Word is your lifeline, and a miracle is coming toward you. The reason the battle has intensified is simple; your enemy is losing his grip. What he once used to hold back the miracle is being replaced by a constant battering of the promise of God. God’s Word is destroying the wall of partition that has separated you from your miracle.

Using God’s promise as your weapon, and faith as the power tool that constantly holds that promise before the onslaught of the enemy, you can’t lose. Okay, go ahead, throw your head back, close your eyes, and scream to the top of your voice! Oh yeah, except this time make it a shout of victory! Make it an intimidating sound that will pierce the atmosphere, and topple every circumstance standing between you and your answer. Help yourself to victory. It’s a great day when you decide to BREAK DOWN THAT WALL!

Never give up!
The finish line is in sight and you can hear the roar of the crowd in your ears! A great gathering of witnesses watch you as you navigate hurdles skillfully, leaping over some and running around others. The track you run on is smooth -- the highs and lows of the roadway challenge you, you draw more strength from within to continue on. You pull in large puffs of breath, your lungs burn as you push yourself toward the goal.

Suddenly, in one moment, you tire. You feel your strength leaving you, you can't catch your breath. Cramps in your legs and side scream loudly for attention. You hear a murmuring among the viewers, they wonder if you'll make it. Rain begins to fall, inviting you to call it a day.

Then from somewhere deep in your innermost being, you get your second wind. You breathe Him in. He sends strength to your limbs and expands your lungs, refreshing your body. He makes the finish line appear clearly. You can easily see even beyond the finish line to the winner's reward area. The rain refreshes you inside and out. The crowd is clapping again and beside you, you sense others running the same race.

This is the Christian life! Run today with all your strength towards your destiny. When you tire, breathe Him in and He will strengthen you. Your brothers and sisters watch you, encouraging you onward towards eternal life and victory! Never give up!

Living on the Gulf Coast, I know all about devastating storms. My family and I have evacuated from the path of a hurricanes and hunkered down in hallways to hide from tornadoes. When you have several days notice, it's easy to prepare for the worst. You have time to plan, pack and pray. But those sudden storms, like the tornadoes that whipped up this past weekend are the ones that hit us the hardest. The fact is, sometimes you pray before the storm; sometimes the opportunity to pray is only after. A fortunate few of us pray during the storm. I wish I could say that I always remembered to pray when the roaring of a tornado is passing over my family. Most of the time, I hold my children close and my faith in God closer.

Today, let's pray for those left behind in the wake of the sudden storms. Now is the time to pray for healing, for peace and supply. Let's pray for the children who've lost their homes, families and schools. Let's pray for the parents left to figure out to cope with such great loss. Let's pray for a storm shook country. The storms have passed, it is time to pray!

Feel can like a roller coaster ride!
The strength of the weapon your enemy has chosen to use against you could be an indication of the significant harvest God has in your future. Relationships are being tested within families as well as outside the family unit. Marriages have come under undue stress and tempers have manifested. Children are more restless than usual. The journey from where you are to where you want to be seems endless, with few rewards. It all seems so frustrating you may be considering giving up.

God has a promise for days like these. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” The Greek word for “rest” means, to keep quiet; as demonstrated by a calm, and patient expectation. Let your mind stop the roller coaster ride it’s been on for the last few days. God remains in control of your future. Allow expectation to rise in your spirit.  That which was dead can live. Expectation is your key to unlock tomorrow, and give you access to a future so bright it will drive all the darkness of today far away. No more LIFE ON A ROLLER COASTER!

Are you looking for a “golden key” to unlock a tomorrow that seems to be hidden behind a bolted door? Isaiah describes the provision of God for the tired and weary when he said, “They shall mount up with wings as eagles.” God promised you strength, and He will provide exactly what you need. That restlessness within could be an indication that God wants to move you to another spiritual dimension. Young eagles also experience some restlessness and soon realize their destiny is not in the nest. You were not made for the nest you were made to fly.

Make this your season for transition, which is going where you’ve never been, also a time of transformation, which is becoming what you’ve never become. To shift old mind sets to new paths of thinking, challenge the status quo in life and be aware of new opportunities emerging, will surely facilitate the transition journey. The transformation aspect is revealed as the results of fresh disciplines, which release you into a place of freedom. No more walking on egg shells. Conquer the fear of change, and take this inner journey knowing that GOD WILL PROVIDE!

Exercise your faith to build those spiritual muscles!
Keep exercising your faith. It’s the spiritual muscle that enables you to enjoy the fruit of the seed you plant. I know it’s hard to stay focused with your faith. Jesus knew it would be difficult for He said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible.” Jesus knew your circumstances would sometimes scream back in your ear that your faith isn’t working.

Keep your eye on the reward. Your enemy is pathetic, and the original loser whom God never gave an opportunity to repent. We are blessed and highly favored. Remember, your energy will stop at the point of your focus. When you stay focused on your harvest, your spiritual energy will take you all the way to the manifestation.

Keep doing what is right. God said, “Don’t be weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap if you faint not.” Your fatigue is temporary. There is joy just ahead. Your faithfulness is demoralizing to your enemy. He thought you would have given up by now.  But you haven’t. Your struggle is proof you have not been conquered. Stay on course; your harvest is abundant, and closer than you think.

Be encouraged, the turbulence in your life could be a signal your season is about to change! The Bible declares, to everything there is a season. There is a “DUE SEASON” in your future. I know you get tired but you can’t give in. Never surrender. Quitting is not an option. You’ve come to far, prayed too much, fought to many battles, and weathered too many storms to throw in the towel. Come on, you’re not alone; there is still reserve strength available. Fall back in love with Jesus. Don’t give up in the midst of discouragement, or severe testing.

When seasons change it is often accompanied by turbulence in life.  The season that is destined to end must yield to the new season. Seed is in the ground; its only attribute is to reproduce and it understands no other manifestation. You are destined to be an achiever.  You can’t give in to mediocrity.  God’s plan is for you to finish your course, arrive at your “due season,” and enjoy your harvest. Always remember that a specific faith goal, will allow you to pull all your strength together toward your due season.  A new season brings NEW THINGS!

Have you looked for an opportunity to have a fresh start in an area of life? It’s never a convenient time, and you can never muster the discipline it would take to be successful. Let’s take another look. This is the Easter season, and God’s word declares that in the same place He was crucified, there was a garden. The site of the most horrible death also provided a most beautiful garden. What a contrast; death and life in the same place. It’s a powerful lesson for us to consider.

This is a great season to declare the life you desire, and death to old habits and patterns that have outlived their time. You don’t have to relocate, it doesn’t cost money, and no one can stop this decision. In the same place you’ve encountered the worst struggles, bury the residue of past pain and failures and rise with renewed hope and faith in the strength of resurrection power. Reach for the necessary discipline to create the new day of your dreams. No one can stop you now, you have chosen NEW DISCIPLINES FOR A NEW DAY!

If it has been a while since the blessings of your life have been counted, take a moment, grab a cup of coffee, sit down with pen and paper and begin listing things for which you are thankful. Keep in mind that thanksgiving is primarily for experiences that have already come to pass. Once you get started, I’m sure the list will grow longer than expected. With each blessing remembered, fond memories warm the soul, and settle the spirit. Anxiety departs and perhaps a smile might even emerge from your face. Come to think of it, maybe it’s been quite a while since you remembered smiling. New joy can be discovered while COUNTING BLESSINGS!

I know problems must have solutions, but we can get so involved in the negative side of life we forget the good times. Try to strike a balance of celebrating the good times while finding solutions to the difficult times. It will take some discipline, and perhaps even a shifting of our thinking, but the result can be a new found faith reaching for a positive future God has promised. A new season of living can often be found when we begin COUNTING BLESSINGS!
